Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has appointed contractor All Clean to provide “on demand” cleaning at 19 sites.
Reaching exacting NHS standards of cleaning and understanding the sensitivities of the patient environment were key factors in All Clean being taken on to provide relief cover for one of the Country’s biggest providers of NHS mental health services.

Diana Franklin, Facilities & Hotel Services Manager for the Trust, explains: “We selected All Clean following a detailed tendering process. They were able to demonstrate a flexible, responsive approach to the job whilst bringing valuable former experience having carried out deep clean for the Trust earlier in the year.”
Julia O’Connor, Domestic Manager at the Trust adds: “All Clean worked with us to gain an understanding of our service users’ needs and this enabled them to provide a service which minimises disruption but is effective and discreet.
“NHS hygiene standards and regulations require an entirely different level of cleaning to ordinary contract cleaning. All Clean were given additional training to ensure we could adhere to these very important criteria part of which is to report to the Infection Control Committee.”
The Trust which has won awards for its standards including the HefmA* Cleanliness in Facilities and is audited as a Centre of Excellence by the British Institute of Cleaning Science, predicts an ongoing relationship with All Clean.
Diana Franklin concludes: “With All Clean providing back up, we can meet our exacting cleaning needs. We regard this as an investment in our environment which is one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to providing the best quality care to our patients, carers and their relatives.”
