Contract cleaning firm All Clean Ltd has been named Employer of the Year for its outstanding commitment to workforce development through ensuring every member of its staff undergoes training relevant to their job specification.
In a sector perceived as largely attracting unskilled labour, All Clean is convinced that its training programme not only motivates its people but also gives the company a competitive edge.

Mark Weston, All Clean’s MD says: “Cleaning companies usually don’t win awards and so it is wonderful that our zeal for training has been acknowledged. The impact on the business has been measurable by our recent expansion; and the fact that our skilled operatives can get the job done more efficiently and effectively means we can offer an attractive price for our services.”
The Employer Excellence Star Award was given by the business development arm of Sutton Coldfield College where 100 out of 145 All Clean employees have attended NVQ courses in cleaning, customer service and business administration; with the remainder due to start courses soon.
A trained workforce is a motivated workforce and this contributes to staff retention. All Clean has gone a step further by introducing the Lealta Benefits card after one year’s service as an incentive reward scheme.
Weston continues: “Cleaning is not a highly paid job so offering this card which entitles staff to up to 40% off local goods and services, along with a host of other benefits is one of the ways we can say ‘thank you for staying with us and keep up the good work.”
