Smoke control dampers
Smoke dampers are passive fire protection products used in air conditioning and ventilation ductwork. They are installed to prevent the spread of smoke from the place of fire origin to other places in the same building. A combination of fans and dampers can exhaust smoke from a place where fire is presence, while pressurising the smoke-free areas around the affected place. Smoke control dampers are single or multi-blade dampers that would have two safety positions, open to allow smoke extraction or closed to maintain compartmentation.
